How do we get there?

Typically life coaching starts out with a collaborative assessment about the important areas of your life (personal growth, relationships, finance, career, health, physical environment), and we’ll identify where you would like to improve your satisfaction. Some people come in with definite goals in mind; others know they want more out of life, but need help figuring out where to even start. Depending on your unique situation, we will use some or all of the following tools and steps to help you articulate and achieve your goals.

WHO are you? DISCOVERY:

What makes you unique: what are your strengths, values, talents, etc.? During this part of the process, I utilize a customized range of tools based on your desired outcome. We may use Personal Assessments (personality, behavior, values, strengths), thought-provoking discussions, and enlightening homework activities (designing life-plans, identifying tolerations and stresses, completing customized questionnaires). All of these help you explore your needs and desires, resulting in an enhanced and empowering self-awareness. This also allows me to get to know what is unique and special about you so I can guide you along your path.

WHAT do you want? VISION:

This step is critical. Based on this new level of self-understanding, we will collaborate to explore and articulate what you want to change or improve in your life. We will create a vision of where you want to go next. What do you want to be doing more of? What would you like to be doing less of? What do you want to improve or change? What would you like to achieve or change in the next few months? In the next year?

HOW will you get there? STRATEGY and ACTION PLAN:

Using the intimate knowledge we gained from the first two steps, we will tailor a unique strategy and action plan to help you achieve your goals and reach your potential. Getting what you want is sometimes a stretch, so I will work with you to develop tactics to manage through and around challenges to implementing your plan. We will collaborate to overcome obstacles and identify strategies to embrace needed change.
